When can we come back?!?!?!
A Saturday night PERFECTLY kicked off with margarita to remember…..followed by one of my personal FAVORITE menus and kickin’ atmosphere all under the lit up PURPLE SKULL.
It all started out with the freshly made shot of tequila with a coarse salted rim to kick off the night followed by a cilantro, pineapple and jalapeno redemption chaser-one of the most flavorful chasers I’ve ever had. Felt no pain!
With edgy music bumpin in the background of this floor to ceiling rustic, funky lighted bar/restaurant. You can’t help but be drawn right away to the cool artwork on the wall, bar and ofcourse the kitchen crew cooking up a storm with the open concept kitchen. Can you feel it yet?
And now for the best of the best- the FOOD & its Presentation- a perfect 10!
We had it all! From La Mesas – THE BC ANGUS STEAK BAVETTE, TIJUANA STYLE BABY CAESAR, CHORIZO, BUTTERMILK KENNEBEC MASH to a hit of the PAN ROASTED BC SABLEFISH, drizzled with COCONUT CREAM CORN, BLACK GARLIC REMOULADE, BUTTER BROWNED PANA FRITAS.. So Good!
We also had the MORITA CHILI BBQ PULLED PORK with MANGO PAPAYA SALSA, PINTO REFRITO and more tastes I can’t even explain and than turned it up with the LAMB ALBONDIGAS with ANCHO CHILE CREAM topped with YES- PARMESAN POPCORN!? One taste that I honestly was floored that no one else had tried to create this before.
Now these are just a few of the creations Chef Stu Irving and his top line chefs spoiled us with along with a night to remember of good friends, cozy environment with kick ass staff with food knowledge to lead you right to where it counts- back to CUCHILLO.
If you haven’t been to this fine establishment, its a MUST GO IN VANCOUVER to Eat, Chill, Celebrate, have some drinks or just turn it up for the night.
